Spartanburg County, SC Spartanburg County, SC Full-time Full-time $90,000 a year $90,000 a year The Director of HR is responsible for all oversight and operations of associate recruitment, retention, and development at the College.
The Director manages and provides strategic direction with regards to the functional areas of employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, talent acquisition and onboarding.
Maintains related databases and develops accountability metrics in support of the College's Strategic Plan, in addition to communicating the Human Resources goals, target and plans to the College's Executive Team.
Job functions include:
Serve as a supervisor and leader to HR team, regarding the delivery of assigned human resources functions (employee relations, compensation and performance, benefits, training, and talent acquisition and onboarding).
Establish quarterly talent acquisition and recruitment targets in response to the college-wide strategic plan, and ongoing divisional openings.
Establish a clear, unified vision and direction for the HR team.
Manage functional aspects of all HR systems to ensure functionality is continuous, sustainable, reliable and complies with procedures and methods of accountability tracking.
Implement strategies that promote recruitment, retention, and inclusion of talented associates from a wide range of backgrounds, qualifications, and experiences.
These strategies and tactics will align with EEO guidelines.
Counsel, guide, and advise college leadership, managers, and employees in complaint resolution, grievances, and corrective action plans, and any other related employee relations matters.
Interpret and educate faculty and staff regarding current procedures for efficiencies and provide strategic collaboration in the development of operational procedures and best practices across the College.
Oversee employee disciplinary, grievance, termination, RIF, VSP, RIP, performance, Title IX, and compliance processes for the College.
Create and implement HR best practices, standards, and procedures for division management.
Monitor daily operations and make actionable changes based on data driven analysis.
Perform other duties as requested.
Bachelor's degree and professional experience in human resources management programs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
